"I'm learning how 'all-consuming' it can be when you're a high school basketball coach," says Tyrone Hicks, Common Bond's Director. While Hicks had been part of the Belleville High School coaching staff for four of the last five years, he reached a new level of involvement with his alma mater recently - he became the Tigers' head coach shortly before the current season started. On Sundays, however, Hicks can still be found in the gym at Lincoln High School overseeing Common Bond's "Power League." And, with the league now in its second season, Coach Hicks is proud of the improvement he sees in the players and teams that wear the black-and-gold.
