| The travel basketball season runs from April through early July. If your child is selected for a team, you will immediately need to provide the following information, as well as some additional paperwork that will be emailed to you. This paperwork and payment is required to be turned in at the teams first practice meeting in order to receive a team uniform and be placed on the roster. Travel Season Payment Common Bond Waiver Form Common Bond Medical Release Form AAU application, waiver and membership verification form (only needed if playing AAU events) Along with these completed documents, you must attach: Two (2) copies of your childs birth certificate A current copy of this years report card 1 recent photo (If you dont have these from school you can get passport size photographs from CVS, AAA, Sears, etc. The club provides uniforms which must be returned at the end of the league season. Practices will be held in the Ann Arbor and surrounding area. Parents are required to get their player to practice and to games timely. Early arrival at tournaments is important for registration procedures; it also gives the coach planning time and allows the players time to warm up. Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of your game for tournaments and at least 15 minutes early for practice (unless directed otherwise by your coach). Communications and teamwork are essential to a good, productive season. Because all of our coaches are volunteers and have other employment, email is the preferred method of communications (unless communicating a last minute absence). Parents should advise the coach of any absence the player will have. Players should arrive at practice timely and parents should arrive timely for pick up at the end of practice. Players are expected to attend practices in order to play in events. Excessive absences will result in reduced playing time. A team parent is needed for each team. If you are interested in being a team parent, please let your coach or one of our board members know. The team parent can assist with the fundraising efforts, tournament directions, and assist the coach in communications and organizational tasks. This is an important role in the success of each team. Common Bond depends on the support and involvement of its members. Fundraising is an important part of our program. Volunteers are always needed. Donations are always welcome and appreciated. There may be individual team fundraisers or club fundraisers that each player will participate in. Our annual golf outing can always use volunteers, donors and golfers! Our Fundraising committee is looking for help, ideas and again donors! Many tournaments request each team to provide a score/time person per game. If you cant make a monetary donation, donate your time and services. Step up and become an integral part of the Common Bond Family. Your participation will grow from the player, to the team, to the Program and that is what makes us successful. We look forward to you joining the Common Bond Basketball Family!!! Remember to check our website for announcements and latest news involving our club and players. |
